Quick Facts
Summary (The Short Version)
Our commitment to accessibility
We want everyone to host or book pop-ups with confidence. We're working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA across our website and booking flows. If you find a problem we haven't spotted, tell us — we'll fix or offer an alternative route quickly.
Need this page in a different format?

Scope
What this statement covers
This statement covers negotiables.co.uk and our hosted forms, messages and QR tools used during pop-up activations.
Standards We Aim For
Accessibility guidelines we follow
- WCAG 2.2 AA for web content and interactions. (We track the new criteria such as Focus Not Obscured, Dragging Movements and Target Size.)
- We follow WAI's Understanding WCAG for design/dev guidance.
- For enterprise buyers, we intend to publish an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) mapped to EN 301 549.
What We're Doing to Make the Site Accessible
Our accessibility implementation approach
Aligned with WCAG's POUR principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust.
Accessibility Features
Semantics & Structure
Correct headings, lists, landmarks; ARIA used sparingly.
Keyboard Access
All interactive elements reachable and operable without a mouse; logical tab order; visible focus.
Colour & Contrast
Compliant text and UI contrast; never rely on colour alone.
Motion & Animation
Respect prefers-reduced-motion; no critical info conveyed only through motion.
Forms
Programmatic labels, helpful hints, clear error messages, announced to assistive tech.
Media
Captions and transcripts for promo videos; decorative images are ignored by AT; meaningful images have alt text.
Responsive & Touch
Large hit targets; safe areas on mobile; content reflows without loss.
Consistent Patterns
Link styles, button states, and components behave predictably in every flow.
How We Test
Our testing methodology
- Automated checks in CI for common issues.
- Assistive tech spot-tests: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (iOS/macOS), and keyboard-only navigation on Chrome/Safari/Firefox (latest two versions).
- Design reviews against WCAG 2.2 AA.
- We review this statement at least annually or after major updates.
Where We Know Things Could Be Better
Known issues and alternatives
These are either being improved or have an immediate alternative route:
Interactive maps (third-party Mapbox) may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
Alternative: A text list of addresses/directions and "Get directions" links is provided near the map.
Charts in the ROI calculator may use colour for differentiation.
Alternative: Data tables and labels; we're adding patterns and direct value labels.
Embedded social posts may expose non-compliant markup.
Alternative: Summary text and a link to the original post.
Older PDFs (if any) may not be fully tagged.
Alternative: Request an accessible format via accessibility@negotiables.co.uk (we'll respond within one business day).
Booking & Events Accessibility
Physical accessibility considerations
Negotiables is a marketplace. We collect and display venue attributes (for example: step-free access, door width, accessible restroom, hearing loop, quiet hours). Hosts are asked to keep this accurate; Brands must run inclusive activations and provide reasonable adjustments on request under the Equality Act 2010.
Missing accessibility details?
If an accessibility detail is missing or wrong, tell us — we'll update listings and prioritise accessible matches.
If You Can't Access Part of This Service
How to get help
Email accessibility@negotiables.co.uk or call +44 [number]. We aim to respond within one business day with a fix, a workaround or an alternative format.
Unhappy with our response?
You can get advice from the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which supports individuals with Equality Act issues in Great Britain. (EASS is separate from Negotiables.)
Third-Party Technology We Rely On
External services and accessibility
Hosting/CDN, payments, maps, analytics, and video providers. We choose vendors with strong accessibility posture, but some parts of their UI are outside our control. For enterprise clients, we can provide vendor accessibility summaries or links to their statements.
Legal Context (UK)
Legal framework and compliance
Negotiables is a private service provider. Under the Equality Act 2010, we seek to make reasonable adjustments so disabled people are not placed at a substantial disadvantage. While the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 target public-sector sites, we follow the GOV.UK model accessibility statement as good practice for clarity and transparency.
